Love is in the air?

For those of you celebrating Valentine’s Day today…

Whether you are celebrating the day with a new or old partner – remember that sometimes, it is just the little things (like a nice gesture: scraping off the snow on your car windshield) that make you feel special and cared for. Sure, flowers may be REALLY nice…hint, hint!

Anyway, still busy putting the final touches on my book…

Wishing you renewed love and friendship!

Friendships take on many forms. It could be a relationship with your friends, a mother-child relationship, a husband-wife relationship, a relationship with your pets, and more- Monica

This post is dedicated to my great ‘married’ friends, Linda and Eric and my sister, Annette and her fiancee, Gabor. You guys are awesome!

I always do a lot of self-reflection and think about my amazing family and good friends this time of year. I am truly blessed to have such a great family and friends.

As I am baking cookies this evening, I am thinking about my next post. My friends, Linda and Eric have been on my mind recently, because of their recent vacation posts on Instagram. I always thought they were an awesome couple.

Just by watching Linda and Eric interact with each other, you can really tell that they love each other. They have a deep friendship. I picture the ‘old’ couples that still hold hands (so sweet!). This also goes for my sister, Annette and her fiancee, Gabor. Gabor is constantly telling my sister how lovely she is, asking for her opinion and treats her like she is the most important person in the world.

I really admire these two couples and the love they share with the world. This is why I selected them as my 2018 couples of the year. I am sure you all know couples like them.

In this thing called life, true friendship is hard to find and a rare gem to be cherished.

Cheers to Linda, Eric, Annette and Gabor and couples that still hold hands!

Friendship ROCKS! -Monica

It’s not world “Friendship Day” – but I feel that friendship should be celebrated today!

There are so many things in life to be grateful for. Sometimes, we just have to take a step back to be able to appreciate them.  In my opinion, one of the greatest and most important things in life is, friendship.  We can find friendship in our families, friends, communities and our adorable pets.  These days with social media, we can even find friendship all the way across the world.

When I was young, I was super shy and did not enjoy socializing.  Most of my time was spent hiding behind my dad’s legs.  Because of my shyness, making friends was not always easy. Yet, I was lucky to find a few amazing friends in high school: Steph, Jen and Alicia. Finding such great friends, made life way more enjoyable, helped bring me out of my ‘shell’, and helped shape me into the person I am today.

A great big hug to all the friends made along the way in “this thing called life”.

Here’s to celebrating friendship…

Take a moment out of your busy schedule and give your friends and family a hug, or if you are not into hugging – just say something nice to them!
